John Deere 325G track steer, 2023 model.
the roll switch to engage the brush hog hydraulics is not working all the sudden. the codes are : 1/1 EMU 523941.05 AUX HYD RETRACT SOL CIRCUIT FAULT
any help identifying this issue is appreciated. only 116 hours on this machine, like new.
thanks
Keith

Keith, thanks for posting. Fault code 523941.05 shows a problem with the auxiliary hydraulic retract solenoid circuit, usually from the system not seeing the expected voltage or current. On a newer machine with only 116 hours, start by checking the wiring harness near the joystick and under the floorboard. Some have found pinched or broken wires there, especially at the loom bending into the handle. If the switch feels loose or unresponsive, check for continuity across the terminals before replacing anything. Did the brush hog hydraulics have issues before the switch stopped working or did everything go out at once? This will help determine if it's a switch issue or deeper in the solenoid circuit.

Grab a multimeter and probe at the retract solenoid when you hit the switch. If you don’t see voltage change (or continuity), the wiring or switch is toast. If you do get signal, then swap in a new solenoid and see if that clears the fault.

That's good advice. Also, check for blown fuses or relays in the AUX circuit and look at the ground wires close to the valve block. A bad ground or a loose plug can cause that code, even if the wires and solenoid look alright.

hood advice from the @hauntedvertigo, but if those wires check out fine (no breaks or pinches), the next most likely culprit is the solenoid coil itself near the auxiliary hydraulic valve bank
