Okay, so the biggest thing for me was realizing just how much work goes into the holidays. When I was a kid, it all seemed to just happen, you know? But once I started hosting stuff myself, I finally got what my parents were doing. The holiday magic is still there, but now it's mixed with, like, a ton more responsibility.

What really did it for me was moving away for work. Before, Christmas was just automatic—same house, same people, same everything. Now it takes some work to get everyone in one place, which makes those times feel more important. Even if it's not quite as wild as it used to be.

I think things changed when my siblings and I got older and stopped waking each other up super early on Christmas. Now it's more chill, quieter, and more about actually talking to each other instead of just ripping open presents. It's different, but in a cool way.
