My buddy and I want to try out something, we've got a GX335 that we want to upgrade the hitch situation for some attachments we wanna run. We looked at LP66661 hitch setup because it seems like it would be perfect for what we need, but I'm not entirely sure if it's going to play nice with the hydro lift system on the machine so I wanted to ask if anyone has successfully mounted one of these hitches to a GX335 without having to do major modifications and I mean actually bolted it up and used it, not just "yeah it should work in theory." I'm fine with minor tweaking a bracket here and there, but we don't want to get into a difficult situation
Would really appreciate your insights in advance, TIA

The LP66661 fits the GX335, but you might need to adjust the lift arm clearance since the hydro lift linkage is pretty snug close to the bracket mounts.

Before buying, pull the LP66661 install guide and JD Parts Advisor for GX335 to confirm bracket hole locations and the hydro lift linkage path, since a dry fit with 1⁄4 inch spacers and a shorter fastener stack often solves the clearance pinch. Have you measured the frame rail hole spacing and lift arm sweep yet to see where interference would occur?

While the rear components of the LP66661 will fit the rear hitch plate for the GX300 series because it mounts to the rear of the tractor the same way the Manual Lift LP31357 does. LP66661 was never designed or intended to be used on the older GX300 series tractors. The GX300 series does not have the left-side lift components built into the Mid-mounted rocker shaft.

Now you just might be able to attach the lift arm bolt and spacer to where Diagram Number 16 (circled in blue) bolts to the rocker shaft. But the only way you know for sure whether it will work or not is to try it. It may not give you the normal lift heights that it would on an X500 series.
The downside of the hydraulic lift Integral Hitch is no down pressure on implements like a box scraper or rear blade. That's that when John Scheele of Johnny Products Universal Electric Lift Sleeve Hitch ends up being better. Hitch to use with the GX300 series because it can be used in float or down pressure modes, and it allows you to have two implements on at once. Like a front thrower and a rear blade if you're in a climate where it snows
