I've got a question about my neighbor's John Deere L130. He recently added a power lift kit to his 44" snowblower and is in the process of adding electric chute rotation and a powered discharge flap (up/down control).
All the wiring and switches are in place, but he's concerned the original plastic chute isn't going to hold up to all the new hardware and forces. He really wants to swap the plastic chute out for a much sturdier metal one.
I borrowed his JD so often, so I want to help. has anyone else successfully done the plastic to metal chute upgrade on an L series? Any advice or part numbers would be a huge help to get his winter prep done!
