Tire chain snapped and bent my axle

Just wanted to share something about my 2008 John Deere LA145. I was using it to clear snow, and one of the tire chains broke while I was driving. Didn't catch it right away, and it ended up swinging around and bending the rear axle a bit.I've had this Deere for over 15 years and it's been solid. Put on new chains last winter, but I guess one weak link gave out.

Ouch, that's tough but amazing the LA145 held up this long though, 15 years is a good run. Chains can be sneaky like that lol, one bad link and it'll cause all kinds of grief. At least it's still going strong aside from the bent axle, that's a win right there
