214 Variator issue Dad's old tractor

Hey, I'm working on fixing up my dad's old 1980 214 tractor, which has been sitting idle for a while. I managed to get it running, but I'm facing an issue. When the engine is off, I can't seem to push it around, even with the clutch pedal pressed down and the gear in neutral. Any ideas on what I might be overlooking?

If the gear lever feels neutral, the gears might still be stuck. Try rocking the tractor gently as you move the lever to ensure it's really in neutral. Badly adjusted linkages can jam things up.

Make sure to also inspect the brake linkage for any signs of seizing, and check if the parking brake might be partially engaged. Sometimes, rust or the tension in the cable can cause the rear wheels to lock up, even if it seems like everything is disengaged.

Try pulling the belt cover off and see if you can get the variator sheaves to move by hand. If it's stuck, use a little penetrating oil on the variator pivot points, let it soak, and then gently work the lever back and forth to free it up. If that fails, you might need to drop the whole variator assembly for a proper cleaning, but try the oil and wiggling first!
