Carb issue keeps coming back

I've got an LX188 that's been giving me a tough time. I've had the carb apart a few times now, and every time I put it back together it runs better for a little while. The problem always returns within a couple of hours of mowing. What's strange is it only acts up while I'm actually mowing, but it doesn't seem tied to the load on the engine.

Feels like there's something I'm overlooking. Anyone run into a similar pattern or something?

For me, it could be the fuel pump or ignition coil.

Maybe there;s something restricting the flow in your air filter ?, check that out and if there's a vent in the gas cap

Hey, just a heads-up, when things go wrong, quickly check the valve lash. Tight exhaust valves can cause heat, which means you'll lose power. This is easy to forget if you are only focusing on the fuel and air issues.
