John Deere X590 vs X739 for a spotless lawn

I’m upgrading from an LT180 to a John Deere X590 or X739 to maintain two acres, but I’m worried about lawn damage
my priority is a perfect, 100/100 finish on my ornamental front yard without leaving ruts or heavy tire marks
money is no problem,I simply want the best 48inch deck machine that provides a precision cut while remaining powerful enough for field work and attachments like aerators and carts

I’m seeking advice on whether the added weight of the X739’s 4WD and 4WS systems poses a risk to soft turf compared to the lighter X590

I’ve had an X739 for three years on similar turf. Honestly the 4WD is a bit heavier, but you can turn it off while mowing. I only use 4WD for attachments and tackling hills. For a perfect lawn, stick to 2WD mode, and you’ll be good. The weight difference isn’t a dealbreaker if you’re careful.

I’m an X590 fan. If your front yard is that important to you, go for something lighter. The 739 is a powerhouse for attachments, but it can leave marks on soft ground, especially after rain. Honestly, you don’t need that much tractor for two acres.

Here’s the deal any tractor can leave ruts if the ground is wet enough. I’d recommend the X590, run your tire pressure a bit lower for turf, and avoid mowing when it’s soggy. Save the heavy lifting for the back. Your lawn will appreciate it

If cash isn't a problem, grab the X590 and a tough utility tractor. Trying to get one thing to mow nice lawns and do heavy work? It's a trade-off. Keep your lawn looking great and trash the other tractor instead.
