Just picked up this Gator 4x2

Im facing an issue about it though,. when im going over a bumpy road I hear a slight like clunking sound somewhere at the back Not sure if this is normal or what. Anyone else faced this issue?

nope not normal at all, could be your shock or suspensions. What else you feel? You can have it checked first by your local mechanic.

Could be a few things, but I'd check the rear suspension first, it could be a loose or worn out shock, or maybe even something in the swingarm. Also, check if anything's loose around the rear axle or the exhaust, since those can sometimes cause clunking sounds, lets know what you find

Normal in my opinion, its a bumpy road.

I agree with the rest to check the suspension and I'll add to check the exhaust, it could be lose and clanking on the frame

Heard this a lot but it's not "normal' per se. Must be the rear suspension. If not do check the bed mounts and tailgate.

Adding to what I previously said, you should really check the transaxle mounts as well, just make sure they are tightly in place. The rubber mounts can degrade over time which may cause lots of movement so do some engine test by bouncing the rear end by hand and listen for the clunk.

Having a reliable checklist is important, rear suspension problems or worn mounts are frequently the cause. And yes, a bounce test is a quick and easy way to help you narrow it down.
