Mounting a toolbox to the SMV sign bracket

Thinking about ditching my slow moving vehicle sign and using that bracket to mount a toolbox instead. I’ve got a .50 cal ammo can that looks like a perfect fit
The best part is that it’d be quick detach since it uses the sign mount. Has anyone tried this, or am I asking for trouble?

I did that with an ammo can on my trailer. Quick release is great, but secure it well, or it'll bounce like crazy.

I thought about that last summer! I tried it with a smaller box first. It's been fine, but if you load it up, make sure the mount is strong.

I switched my slow sign for a toolbox, and an ammo can fits great. The quick release rocks. It rattled a little on bumpy roads, but no biggie.
