S240 with 46" snowblower wiring help needed

Hey, I just installed a 46" blower on my S240 with the electric lift, and I'm super excited about it. But I ran into a bit of a snag, my dealer couldn't figure out the part numbers for the harness or switch. Has anyone else dealt with this before? Any tips would be really appreciated

you need an electric chute control kit. The kit for that blower is likely part number BM23806. The harness and switch are components of that kit. The individual part numbers for the switch are often superseded, which might be why your dealer had trouble finding them. The easiest thing to do is tell them you need the BM23806 kit, which includes everything you need. If you're a DIY-er, you can look up the parts on the official John Deere parts catalog and order them that way.

Keep the harness away from things that move or get hot. The S240 frame can also pinch wires in some spots.

Great setup! I had the same problem last winter when I added a blower to my S240. The electric lift kit didn't come with the harness or switch. I used part number AM147624 for the switch and AUC13477 for the harness. Make sure they fit your setup. Make sure to ask your dealer about it, but they worked well for me. Hope that helps!

If I were in your shoes, I'd pull the wiring schematic of the S240, mark where the blower lift switch must go, and then find/match a plug-and-play harness rather than custom-wire everything. Because doing it wrong could fry switches or the controller. Use the 118.555WH kit as a base, and confirm wire gauge, lengths, connector types.
