What happened with my zero turn mower?

I've been hospitalized for weeks, discharged a week ago, ready for mowing again now, first time in three months lol! My zero turn mower started normally, mowed around 1-2 acres and pulled a small wagon.

I walked around and stopped the mower every 5 minutes. Was nothing unusual, but when I stopped it for around 15 minutes, it couldn't start again. I've put fresh fuel in and jumped the battery, but it still can't start. I heard a click when I turned the key, but nothing after that. I'm confused now, can someone tell me what happened here?

sounds like a bad starter solenoid or a faulty safety switch especially if you're hearing a click but nothing else try bypassing the solenoid with a screwdriver to see if it cranks or check the seat switch and PTO switch since those can stop it from starting too if nothing changes then it could be corroded battery cables or a weak ground connection

Batteries will go bad and all you will get is a clicking sound. How old is your battery?
