You know how there’s always that one project that has nothing to do with your JD gear but still ends up being a great time? Maybe it was something you did in the garage, in the yard, or just a random idea that sparked your interest. I’m eager to hear what you worked on!

The project that really stood out to me was restoring a beaten-up metal toolbox I stumbled upon at a yard sale. After cleaning it up, giving it a fresh coat of paint, and fixing the hinges, I realized it didn’t relate to my usual gear at all. Still, there was something oddly gratifying about watching it come back to life.

One of my favorite projects this year, outside of my regular work, was revamping an old workbench in the garage. What started as just a “quick cleanup” turned into a fun little adventure where I ended up sanding, repainting, and reorganizing the whole thing. It was a surprisingly enjoyable way to reset my space.

I found myself getting really into a small makeover for a backyard fire pit. Initially, I just meant to swap out a few stones, but before I knew it, I had completely redesigned the entire area. It quickly became my favorite hangout spot throughout the summer.
