Hey, if you notice a leak or a drifting cylinder, where do you normally begin your inspection? I'd really like to hear about your strategies and best practices for keeping hydraulics running smoothly over the long term.

I usually knock out the simple stuff first. Last winter, a loader cylinder was acting up, but it just needed a fitting tightened. Now, I give hoses, fittings, and seals a quick once-over before tearing into anything major

For me, it’s usually those lines and hookups. I once had a small leak that bugged me for weeks until I found a tiny crack in a hose next to the clamp. Now I check all the hoses by sight and feel before thinking the problem is on the inside.
